Webmaster - A Jack of all trades, and master of all
‘A good webmaster needs to be a Jack of all trades - but with a solid grasp of everything needed to develop an effective site. Our most urgent need was for someone who could take on the design of the site and who could guide our IT partner. A lot of work was also required on the copy and we needed to set up a database for photos and illustrations. We also had plans for Web 2.0 applications, integration of social media, interaction with different target groups,
et cetera. The catalogue of skills required of our perfect webmaster seemed to
be growing by the minute. But we were not in a position to take someone on full time.’
